Kendrick Lamar, Cardi B, Monaleo, and the Black Eyed Peas received awards at the 2026 American Music Awards.

On May 25, the 52nd AMAs took place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, hosted by Queen Latifah. Multiple hip-hop artists received accolades, with Cardi B being the standout winner in the rap category, securing three awards for Best Female Hip-Hop Artist, Best Hip-Hop Song (“ErrTime”), and Best Hip-Hop Album (Am I the Drama?). Cardi B tied with BTS, Sabrina Carpenter, Sombr, Bruno Mars, and KATSEYE for the highest number of wins. Taylor Swift, despite earning eight nominations, did not win any awards.

Cardi B’s award count for 2026 continues to grow, as she previously won Outstanding Female Artist and Outstanding Album for Am I the Drama? in February, bringing her career total to nine AMAs.

Other honored hip-hop artists included Kendrick Lamar, who won Best Male Hip-Hop Artist, surpassing competitors Don Toliver, Playboi Carti, Tyler, The Creator, and YoungBoy Never Broke Again, increasing his AMA total to six. Monaleo received the Breakthrough Hip-Hop Artist (New) award, defeating ESDeeKid and Pluto, while the Black Eyed Peas won Best Throwback Song (New) for “Rock That Body.”
