Flume and JPEGMAFIA are artists who consistently challenge the norms of their respective genres. They are regarded as mad scientists within their respective music categories, electronic and hip-hop. It’s no surprise to see what’s being put before us in this taste of the recording session they’ve made available.
The track in question, currently titled “Track 1,” may subsequently be given a distinct name. This is the first glimpse of their upcoming EP, We Live In A Society. At the moment of this report, information regarding a release date is not forthcoming. Thanks to a post from Flume on his Instagram Story, it has been confirmed that there will be four songs.
The “Track 1” studio recording is currently accessible only on YouTube, not on digital streaming platforms. We won’t get to hear the final version until the EP is released. JPEGMAFIA and Flume have come up with a really cool concept.
Observing them experimenting together in the studio as they develop beats and melodies is highly engaging. At approximately 4:15 into the video, a thought-provoking electronic hip-hop instrumental comes into play. The animated version of Peggy has the power to transform him into a giant female clown, a fly, and other bizarre forms as they journey through the various instrumentals.
The final track transports listeners through a cosmic journey, a sensation that many people experience when listening to it. The EP’s release is given a strong starting point by the track “Track 1” from Flume and JPEGMAFIA. This marks the artist’s first release as a lead artist since 2023. The duo’s latest endeavour marks their first collaboration since the release of the MC’s previous album, I LAY DOWN MY LIFE FOR YOU.
