Jey One & Travis Scott – Oh Chet

Dominican rapper and singer Jey One aims to broaden his career across different music genres, and he has recently collaborated with Travis Scott on the new single “Oh Chet.” The track features a straightforward, minimal production, characterized by a bouncy dembow rhythm and limited melodic variation. However, the performances and vocal melodies of both artists provide substance, maintaining a steady flow that allows listeners to engage with the rhythms. While Travis Scott’s lyrical contribution is relatively sparse, Jey One showcases his charisma and well-controlled flows. For those unfamiliar with this prominent sound from the Dominican Republic, this single serves as a good introduction.
