Icewear Vezzo – Free + Peezy – So Ghetto

Icewear Vezzo Free Peezy So Ghetto Stream

In the music video for his new single “Free,” Icewear Vezzo referenced his journey to success and career progression, highlighting that he has transitioned out of the streets while staying true to himself. One of a couple of musical releases he has offered to fans recently is the other one being the Peezy collab “So Ghetto.”

Regarding “Free,” the UNDEFEATED rapper glides over a mellow and relatively understated Detroit-inspired beat, albeit one that’s slower and a bit more soulful than anticipated. The film is a nostalgic portrayal that revisits numerous challenges and hardships, drawing parallels between the literal concept of freedom within the Black community and the notions of independence, free will, and economic opportunity in the music industry. It remains to be seen if the “MINNESOTA” MC has more songs on these weighty subjects in the near future.

In contrast, Peezy collaborated with Icewear Vezzo on a much more energetic and boisterous song this week, “So Ghetto.” Both artists employ fairly sluggish and conventional flow patterns in their verses, indicating that the bars must exert greater effort to have a significant impact. The lyricist for “Wheel Of Fortune” comes across as quite monotone in a menacing manner, whereas Vezzo displays slightly more charm.

It’s hoped that the two Michigan rappers will have more to share in the future. Even on less impressive albums, the Rich Off Pints collaborators seem to have a strong chemistry. Icewear Vezzo’s new project Purple Passion is due to arrive very soon, so we can anticipate a lot more excitement to come.
