“I Would Be Without A Job If It Weren’t For Music” — Ayra Starr

Award-winning Nigerian singer Ayra Starr has reflected on how her life might have unfolded differently if music had not worked out for her.

In a recent interview with EE72, the Mavin Records star discussed her journey to success and expressed difficulty in envisioning a career outside of music. She suggested that, without her breakthrough in the music industry, she would likely still be living at home and depending on her mother.

Her comments prompted online discussions, as many fans connected with the challenges of youth unemployment and the uncertainties of pursuing a career in the arts.

Ayra Starr stated,

“If I weren’t doing music, I would literally be unemployed. I don’t even think I would be a content creator because that’s a lot of work. I would just be chilling in my mum’s house and eating my mum’s food.”

The ‘Tornado’ hitmaker also addressed some of the less appealing aspects of fame, indicating that she occasionally wishes the public knew less about her personal life. She acknowledged that her desire to express herself often leads her to share more than she intends during interviews.

While she enjoys her openness, there are moments when she reflects on certain details that she could have kept private.

Since rising as one of Africa’s prominent music figures, Ayra Starr has established her reputation through her dynamic personality, successful records, and genuine interactions with fans. Her recent comments highlighted the significant changes her career has brought and her gratitude for the opportunity to pursue her passion.
