Honest, Lil Yachty, SKT Boo & Kkruggerr – YNGTC

Honest Lil Yachty SKT Boo Kkruggerr YNGTC

Lil Yachty has experienced rapid growth in the 2020s decade, both as a solo artist and as the leader of the Concrete Boys. Alongside new member Honest, plus Atlanta rappers SKT Boo and Kkruggerr, he featured with a standout verse on the new song “YNGTC,” which was released via Concrete Rekordz and Quality Control Music.

This follows “Fasho Dat” by Honest and Lil Yachty, which formally introduced Honest as a new member of the crew. The four MCs deliver fun, charismatic, volatile, and energetic performances on stage, with Yachty specifically utilising his higher nasal register to sound like he’s thoroughly enjoying himself. Similar to his recent “BodyRock” collaboration with Tisakorean, other cuts, such as LUCKI’s “I Don’t Care…”, demonstrate that there’s still a lot of versatility in the tool belt.

It will be interesting to see if a Volume Two for the Concrete Boys is released soon, as it could potentially be more enjoyable than the first if it follows the same model as “YNGTC.” Here, they all play to their strengths over a victorious beat with a hauntingly falling piano melody and a melodic lead reminiscent of brass. When four skilled rappers perform well, the quality of the beats is irrelevant.

There is no concrete information available regarding future release timelines for the Concrete Boys or Lil Yachty. These recent releases and performances might confirm that many of the sceptics were mistaken with even more impact.
