Halle Berry has shared her favorite Kendrick Lamar song, which may not favor her relationship with Drake.

The Oscar-winning actress appeared on a recent episode of UPROXX’s That Tracks series alongside her Crime 101 co-stars Chris Hemsworth and Mark Ruffalo. During the episode, they were presented with various music-related scenarios to evaluate.

Conversation turned to Kendrick when Hemsworth read the prompt: “If I’m stuck in traffic on the 101, I’m listening to my favorite L.A. based artist, Kendrick Lamar. Does that track?”

Berry openly expressed her admiration for Kendrick, responding enthusiastically, “Absolutely, hell yes!” She went on to reveal the specific song she would choose for being stuck in traffic.

“Say Drake!” she joked, mimicking a notable line from Kendrick’s Grammy-winning diss track “Not Like Us.” “That’s all I’m gonna say.”

Berry continued to support Kendrick by telling Hemsworth and Ruffalo that his performance at the 2025 Super Bowl is considered “the number one-performing halftime show ever.”

“Crazy! … Yeah, let’s go with that — just because,” Ruffalo agreed with Berry’s statement.

Hemsworth also identified as a Kendrick fan, remarking, “On certain days, for sure.”

There is a mutual respect between Halle Berry and Kendrick Lamar, as he mentioned her in the chorus of his 2012 song “Money Trees.”

In contrast, Berry’s relationship with Drake seems less favorable after he used her image without permission for the cover art of his 2023 single “Slime You Out” featuring SZA. The artwork portrayed Berry covered in green slime at the 2012 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards.

Following the release, Berry expressed her displeasure through a post on Instagram, stating: “Sometimes you have to be the bigger guy… even if you’re a woman!” along with a gesture of frustration.

She elaborated on her concerns in the comments, stating, “Didn’t get my permission. That’s not cool; I thought better of him!”

In response to another fan, Berry noted, “When people you admire disappoint you, you have to be the bigger person and move on.”
