A new collaboration titled “No Nation (Ayakata)” has emerged, featuring Dutch DJ and producer Ginton alongside ODUMODUBLVCK, Fela Kuti, and Sholz. Released on August 14, 2026, the track offers a contemporary reinterpretation of one of Fela Kuti’s significant works through an electronic-Afrobeat perspective.

This record serves as an authorized remake of Fela’s classic “Beasts of No Nation,” receiving approval from the Kuti estate. Its release coincides with Fela Kuti’s posthumous recognition by the Recording Academy with a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.

Ginton incorporates his electronic production style and guitar contributions, establishing a new backdrop for Fela’s distinctive vocals. Sholz introduces a modern flair, while ODUMODUBLVCK adds his characteristic intensity and rap energy.
