Fireboy DML Has Announced That He Co-Wrote Wizkid’s Song ‘Immediately’

Fireboy DML has shared insights into his early experiences as a songwriter, noting his involvement in writing “Immediately,” a 2018 collaboration between Mystro and Wizkid.

During a live Twitch session, he reflected on his path in songwriting and the various projects he contributed to before becoming one of Nigeria’s leading Afrobeats artists.

Fireboy mentioned that he participated in the songwriting process for “Immediately,” which was released by Mystro featuring Wizkid in 2018. This information adds an intriguing aspect to his career, given that the song predates his own rise to prominence.

He later gained considerable recognition with “Jealous,” a track that introduced his unique sound to a broader audience and paved the way for his ascent as a recording artist.

In addition to his connection with Wizkid, Fireboy revealed that he had also penned songs for another well-known Nigerian artist, Tiwa Savage, during his earlier songwriting phase.

However, he did not disclose the names of the songs he wrote for her.

This revelation underscores a lesser-known aspect of Fireboy’s journey, indicating that his musical career began well before he achieved mainstream success.

Since entering the mainstream, Fireboy has released successful albums, collaborated with various artists, and solidified his role as a prominent figure in contemporary Nigerian music.
