Tymes was arrested in Texas this week on multiple charges. TMZ reported that the rapper was detained by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office on Monday, October 20. He faced eight separate charges, including possession of marijuana, a controlled substance, and a dangerous drug, as well as tampering with or fabricating physical evidence and introducing a prohibited substance into a correctional facility.

According to reports, the Harris County Jail’s public information office confirmed that the artist had his mug shot taken during the processing procedure. As of Tuesday (Oct. 21), he was no longer detained at the facility. No further information has been provided by law enforcement officials regarding the circumstances of his arrest or the substances supposedly linked to the alleged crimes.

The arrest comes after a string of legal issues faced by the rapper throughout 2025. The “Get Even” star was charged in a separate case in January for allegedly making terroristic threats. The charges arose from an incident in which he was accused of threatening to shoot a woman during an argument linked to a young boy named King, who the rapper was claimed to have been tutoring.

The case was formally closed in May following prosecutors’ findings that the charges could not be substantiated to a degree of certainty that would satisfy a court’s requirement for a guilty verdict. Court documents confirmed that a judge approved the dismissal, and the Memphis star’s attorney said his client “maintained his innocence from the start.”

In addition to the previously mentioned legal issues, Finesse2Tymes was also named in a civil lawsuit filed by his former driver, Ernest Flores, which relates to a shooting that occurred in June 2023 outside the Cosmopolitan Premier Lounge near Atlanta, Georgia. Flores claimed to have been shot in the head during the incident and accused the rapper of not providing adequate security, and he is seeking compensation for “emotional trauma, pain, and suffering, as well as heavy medical bills.”
