Fido has released an official statement concerning the removal of his popular song “Joy is Coming” from Spotify. As of February 20, 2025, the hit single “Joy Is Coming,” which debuted on December 14, 2024, has been taken down from the streaming service.

The track enjoyed remarkable success, garnering over 21 million streams and holding the top spot on the TurnTable Top 100 chart for five consecutive weeks.

In a message posted on his social media, Fido expressed his gratitude to his fans, stating,

“Dear Oosha_FC, we want to take a moment to thank you for your love and support for ‘Joy is Coming.’ We’ve noticed that the song is currently unavailable on Spotify, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.”

He continued,

“Please rest assured that we are working diligently to resolve the issue and ensure the song returns as soon as possible. Your patience and continued support mean everything to us.”

Fido also encouraged fans to stay tuned for updates, expressing his eagerness for them to be able to enjoy “Joy is Coming” again soon.

The unexpected removal has left fans and industry analysts confused, as neither Fido nor his record label, Oosha, nor Spotify has provided any official reason for the decision. Despite this, “Joy Is Coming” can still be found on other major platforms, including Apple Music, where it previously claimed the number one spot on the Nigeria Top 100 chart.

In related news, Oosha Records has announced a strategic partnership with the international distribution company EMPIRE, which aims to enhance the global reach of Fido and other artists under the label, providing them with a broader platform.
