Famous Dex believes he is the driving force behind Rich The Kid’s current star status. The artist behind Dex Meets Dexter released a diss towards his Forever Rich label head over a sluggish beginning to the year for both parties, which occurred on March 1, a Saturday.

You wouldn’t exist as the person you are today without my influence. He exclaimed, “Come on, my boy,” through his Instagram Story. I don’t participate in any of it whatsoever. It’s a well-known fact that everyone is aware of the details. Dex later cautioned his “Goyard” partner to cease manipulating him.

Rich The Kid did not directly address the comments made by the rapper who referred to him as “PICK IT UP.” However, on the same day, Sunday (March 2), Rich The Kid coincidentally posted a video online that featured a memorable skit from Dave Chappelle, specifically the Tyrone Biggums character making a peanut butter and crack sandwich. Dex has been battling drug addiction for several years, with a notable problem involving Xanax, to the extent that he attended a rehabilitation program.

Rich The Kid would be exactly where he is now without Famous Dex.

Dex’s claim of being responsible for Rich The Kid’s career success stretches credibility, particularly since “Plug Walk” was one of the first artists to sign with Quality Control Music. He also had a notable stint with Migos, with many regarding him as the group’s unofficial fourth member, due to hits such as “Trap,” “Goin’ Crazy,” and “Change.” Not to be overlooked, “New Freezer” featuring Kendrick Lamar marked the Queens native’s first appearance on the Hot 100.

YoungBoy Never Broke Again and Ye likely had a more significant influence on Rich The Kid’s recent success, considering the chart performance of “For Keeps” and “CARNIVAL”. Notwithstanding this, Dex remains one of the most successful artists to have emerged from Rich Forever Music, which previously housed notable acts such as Jay Critch, 83 Babies, and Young Bino.

Given their history, it’s possible Rich The Kid and Dex could mend their relationship once more. For the time being, it appears that Rich Forever 5 will be the final collaborative project from the duo.
