ERNEST – Gettin Gone ft. Snoop Dogg

Snoop Dogg and ERNEST are set to enter each other’s sonic realms this weekend with ERNEST’s latest release, “Gettin’ Gone.” A native of Nashville, Tennessee, is set to release a compilation album on May 9 titled Cadillac Sessions. Artists Rhys Rutherford, Cody Lohden, and Chandler Walters from other countries will also feature their songs on the album. The album’s title was inspired by ERNEST writing songs for leisurely road trips. According to the artist, the origins of “Gettin Gone” date back to the night before a Jelly Roll concert, as he revealed to PEOPLE magazine.

Ernest said, “Can I play you this new song?”… We were discussing the music when I mentioned, “I create the lyrics and handle all this work. Here’s a song I’ve just written.” He exclaimed, ‘This is extremely cold.’ I require your telephone number. The lead single is a very relaxing combination of their respective genres, and honestly, it’s not as unusual as it may seem. The guitar strings produce a smooth sound, and the lyrics are well-suited to the atmosphere of the accompanying music. “Met a little gypsy, was getting half intoxicated / Asked me if I wanted to get high / She said “I’m leaving.” Snoop’s family connections to Mississippi make this tie even more plausible when considered. This latest country/rap fusion follows one that recently occurred between BigXthaPlug and Bailey Zimmerman.
