Nigerian rapper Erigga has shared his views on the ongoing dispute between hip-hop artists Odumodublvck and Blaqbonez, describing the feud as one that attracts attention but ultimately harms the music culture.

In an interview on Yanga 89.9 FM, which was posted online on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, the rapper stated that although feuds between musicians often generate attention, they do not significantly contribute to the development of the hip-hop industry.

Erigga bluntly stated that beef brings results, but it doesn’t contribute to the culture.” People’s enthusiasm for such rivalries often stems from their fondness for drama rather than a sincere admiration for hip-hop.

“The room is now divided, not because they have a love for hip-hop, but because they enjoy watching two people argue.” He notes that fans are often swift to respond when artists are at odds, but remain quiet when there are positive happenings in the industry worth acknowledging.

Erigga emphasized that his opinions were based on an unbiased viewpoint, and he had no personal connections to either Odumodublvck or Blaqbonez. “He stated that Odumodu is not his preferred choice, nor is Black his preferred choice,” he said, making it clear that his focus was on the impact of the rivalry rather than the artists involved.

The rapper concluded by urging fans and industry professionals to look beyond lyrical conflicts and concentrate on what genuinely bolsters Nigerian hip-hop. “This fight goes beyond the surface of lyrics and aesthetics,” he noted.

Recent online discussions have been dominated by the feud between Odumodublvck and Blaqbonez, prompting fans to debate whether rap rivalries enhance or detract from the Nigerian music industry.
