The 2025 Ruffles NBA All-Star Celebrity Game was a huge success. The latest celebrations caused social media to go wild after several notable individuals, including Druski, Kai Cenat, Shaboozey, and Baron Davis, among others, made appearances and delivered high-energy performances at the February 14 event, which was part of the NBA’s All-Star Weekend in San Francisco. Although the entertainment value was evident, the required skill was not as prominently displayed.

Stars have been a part of this game since its beginning, however, none have been as large as those in the current year. Streaming personalities and social media influencers such as Cenat and Druski are able to attract a large number of viewers for these kinds of events. Druski was live-streaming his coverage of the thrilling match. A video clip of him has gone viral, with him appearing shocked that he did not win the MVP award for the Celebrity Game before Rome Flynn received the honor. He was teased on social media by fans for scoring a total of only four points during the game.

He countered that he was unwell and this was his version of the famous Michael Jordan “Flu Game.” Jordan’s impressive performance, which included scoring 38 points, led his team to victory in Game 5 of the 1997 NBA Finals, in contrast to Druski who only managed to score more than two baskets.

The NBA is increasingly relying on the Celebrity Game and 3-Point Contest to maintain viewer interest, as the appeal of the Slam Dunk Contest and All-Star Game begins to wane. Big stars appear less enthusiastic about attending smaller markets such as Cleveland, Salt Lake City, and Indianapolis, sites of the past three All-Star Weekends, compared to larger markets like Chicago, Atlanta, New York City, and Los Angeles. The Clippers are set for a star-studded 2026 with the team’s return to Los Angeles scheduled to take place at their new arena, the Intuit Dome.

This year’s NBA All-Star Game will feature performances by DJ Cassidy, E-40, Too Short, Saweetie, En Vogue, LiAngelo Ball, and Raphael Saadiq. It will be intriguing to observe the public’s reaction to Gelo’s “Tweaker” live performance. His final live appearance took place during the NFL playoffs at the Detroit Lions versus game. The Washington Commanders’ game will take place on January 18.
