Dragon INC. – No Panic ft. Candy Bleakz

Dragon INC. collaborates with Chocolate City’s Candy Bleakz on “No Panic,” a street-pop track produced by NYRP. This collaboration is a sensible choice.

Candy Bleakz, whose real name is Blessing Mariam Akiode, has centered her persona around resilience under pressure. Identifying as the Lady Dragon aligns well with the song’s title, “No Panic,” fitting her brand naturally.

She has established herself in the Nigerian street-pop scene over the years, gaining recognition in 2019 with “Owo Osu” featuring Naira Marley and Zlatan. She continued to advance her career with projects like her EP and the album, and has collaborated with artists such as Simi, Bella Shmurda, and Blaqbonez. This background gives her credibility to speak on the topic of composure, as she has experienced the challenges of her industry, which often presents obstacles for women.

NYRP’s production effectively complements the song. The beat is steady and grounded, reflecting the message rather than competing with it. When addressing the theme of maintaining composure under pressure, a frantic arrangement would be counterproductive. The song maintains a consistent energy throughout.

Listen to “No Panic” and share your thoughts. Does Candy Bleakz elevate this track, or did Dragon INC. contribute equally?
