Doechii is enjoying a phenomenal year with ongoing acclaim for her Alligator Bites Never Heal album, a notable award, and impressive performances at festivals, in addition to a headlining tour to promote the project. Concert mishaps going viral have prompted the Tampa rapper to speak out on the issue.

A segment of Doechii’s “Live From The Swamp Tour” features her going down a slide during her performance. The rapper, known for her typically precise dance moves, encountered an awkward moment during her visit to New York City on October 20. Doechii seemed to slide down too rapidly, flipping onto her stomach. The clip rapidly gained widespread popularity, even capturing 50 Cent’s attention, and he couldn’t resist taking a jab at the “Anxiety” rapper on social media.

Laugh out loud, oh no. I would have gotten up and said ninjas jumped me. The Queens rapper captioned an Instagram clip of Doechii slipping on the slide by saying, “Hit me in the back of the head, and bush me down the slide.” She fairly got back into her rapping on beat with ease.

On Monday, October 27, Doechii took to Instagram to explain what’s happening behind the scenes. In a post captioned “We will find a cure for this dilemma by the end of our tour I promise,” she broke down the problems.

“I want to discuss the slide because some of you are speculating that I’m intentionally causing it, which I’m not,” Doechii said. To prevent myself from being thrown off when it moves, the mechanical desk had to be fitted with grip tape after I accidentally fell off during rehearsals a couple of times. The grip tape has a sandpaper-like texture, meaning I stay stationary on it whether standing or sitting.

She went on to say, “What’s happening is that my performance stockings are tearing apart because I’m sitting on an abrasive surface, and I’m performing on an abrasive surface.” By the time I get to the part in the song where the slide is played, my bare buttocks are sticking to the slide due to the excessive sweating. They placed the towel there, but as soon as I put the towel there, the wind from my large behind blows the towel away.

Is it a problem with the booty? Got it.

There is no question that Doechii will resolve this issue. The “Live From The Swamp Tour” is expected to finish on November 15 at Camp Flog Gnaw in Los Angeles.
