Destroy Lonely – Jumanji

Destroy Lonely Jumanji

Destroy Lonely has become a popular choice among fans who appreciate music from the same artists associated with Opium. In June, he released a SoundCloud-exclusive EP called “see you soon </3,” a project to keep fans engaged until the next release. He is now back with a new single titled “Jumanji.”

The new track has not been added to streaming services yet, but it was launched together with a music video on YouTube. The beat, created by Cade, Jasper Harris, and others, bears a slight similarity to something that Travis Scott might produce a rap for. Here, Lonely delivers a standout performance that surpasses many of his previous ones. He delivers one verse focusing on money and women, after which he returns to the hook. His lyrics may not be overly impressive, but they are elevated by his performance style.

Playboi Carti announced the Antagonist 2.0 tour in late August, with all current artists affiliated with Opium Records scheduled to appear. Destroy Lonely is set to embark on a tour with Carti, Ken Carson, and additional artists. This will mark Carti’s first headlining tour since 2021, following Whole Lotta Red.

Lonely is preparing for the release of Broken Hearts 3, which is scheduled to come out on September 19, in conjunction with a tour. Two initial installments were released as far back as 2020, so this third instalment has been in the making for five years. The sound of “Jumanji” is a potentially encouraging sign for what the rest of the project will sound like. Listen to it below.
