Desiigner – Slutty

Everyone is familiar with the situation regarding Desiigner. The original Good Music Organisation Developing Talents. The artist achieved success in the latter half of the 2010s with the hit single “Panda.” He also experienced some notable successes with “Tiimmy Turner,” “Outlet,” and his collaborations with Kanye West, including tracks like “Champions” and “Pt. 2” from The Life Of Pablo.

His ascension was also somewhat contentious, particularly in light of his likeness to Future. Over time, the comparisons and criticisms would gradually subside. Despite his efforts, Desiigner has struggled to regain the level of relevance he experienced in the past, particularly in the 2020s.

A native of Brooklyn and a GRAMMY nominee has attempted to initiate a rebirth with his most recent project. It was not only a musical change, but also a means for him to redefine how people perceived him individually. In 2023, he faced an indecent exposure charge following his highly publicized plane incident.

Unfortunately, the project had a limited impact on extracting him from the difficult financial situation he was in. It’s commendable that he refuses to give up despite his circumstances. Desiigner returns this weekend with “Slutty,” a more recognizable sound for him.

Beyond the basics, it’s primarily a high-energy track with a strong, deep bass line. The subject matter specifically revolves around a central element of this subgenre, namely women and hedonism. One notable aspect of the track is its apparent loose connection to a past song by the artist.
