DESI TRILL – Higher Love ft. Cardi B, DJ Khaled, Natania & Subhi

Despite their relatively low level of productivity over the past couple of years, Cardi B and DJ Khaled remain highly sought-after artists. This applies to all of the aforementioned items, encompassing soundtracks as well. It’s no great shock to see the team behind the next Smurfs movie enlist them for the related endeavour. No official release date has been announced yet, but it’s anticipated to be around the same time as the film’s theatrical release on July 18. The upcoming film will be the franchise’s fourth motion picture and its first release since The Smurfs: The Lost Village in 2017.

Cardi B and DJ Khaled are spearheading the launch of the soundtrack with their rendition of “Higher Love.” The track also features producer DESI TRILL, along with Indian pop singers Natania and Subhi. Pardison Fontaine is also featured in a songwriting capacity. The lead single transforms “Heaven Is A Place On Earth” by Belinda Carlisle into a cross-cultural, kid-friendly song. DJ Khaled expressed his enthusiasm for participating in this song and the overall soundtrack, according to Uproxx. It’s an honour to be involved in this highly acclaimed partnership. My childhood memories include watching the ‘Smurfs’ regularly. It’s a full circle experience now that I have children of my own who enjoy watching the Smurfs, and I get to be involved in the soundtrack, which is very inspiring and motivates me to share our music with a global audience.
