Delax4g – 2000 ft. CDQ

Nigerian street-pop artist Delax4g collaborates with veteran rapper CDQ on the track “2000.” This partnership blends the distinct styles of both artists, creating a notable street-music vibe. Delax4g contributes his street-inspired delivery, while CDQ showcases his established Yoruba rap style, resulting in a diverse approach to the song.

Delax4g has gained recognition through his independent releases and various collaborations, including tracks like “Normal Level” featuring Seyi Vibez and “Omo Mummy” featuring Idowest. With this new collaboration, he aims to reach a broader audience alongside CDQ.

The contrast between Delax4g’s street-pop style and CDQ’s long-standing Yoruba rap identity enhances the collaboration. CDQ, well-known in the Nigerian hip-hop scene for hits such as “Indomie” with Olamide and Masterkraft, brings his signature sound to the record.

“2000” has a duration of 2 minutes and 54 seconds and features production that leans towards trap-influenced street music, providing both artists ample opportunity to deliver their verses. CDQ infuses the song with a familiar Lagos street-rap essence.

CDQ has expressed support for Delax4g, referring to him as a newly discovered brother, which adds depth to their collaboration by introducing Delax4g to CDQ’s established listener base.

Prior to the release, Delax4g teased the collaboration with snippets on social media. The complete track is now available for listeners to evaluate the synergy between the two artists.
