Deejay Zebra SA – Ngiphakamise ft. Dr Dope

“Ngiphakamise” showcases the dynamic Gqom sound of Durban, created through a collaboration between South African electronic producers Deejay Zebra SA and Dr Dope.

Released on August 1, 2026, the track features a forceful blend of deep bass, persistent percussion, and high-energy club beats.

It maintains the raw essence of Gqom with repetitive drum patterns, robust low-end frequencies, and well-structured electronic components, resulting in an engaging dancefloor atmosphere.

Sung in Zulu, the track lasts around five minutes and 41 seconds, providing ample opportunity for the producers to cultivate and maintain its intense rhythmic flow.

This collaboration further enhances the partnership between Deejay Zebra SA and Dr Dope, following their previous work together on tracks like “Lalela Kuyanyiwa.” Their unified approach to Durban’s electronic music is prominent throughout the piece, highlighting the darker and more intense aspects of Gqom.

With its driving beat and strong club energy, “Ngiphakamise” effectively represents modern Durban Gqom and serves as a significant addition to both producers’ discographies.
