DDG – The Method

DDG The Method

DDG may not be directly targeting the producer associated with “Pink Dreads,” yet “The Method” could be perceived as an indirect response. For those who have not been keeping up with the Michigan rapper and content creator, he recently released a viral single titled “Pink Dreads,” in collaboration with fellow YouTuber and close friend, PlaqueBoyMax. Since its debut on December 26, the track has garnered over 14 million streams on Spotify. However, it was reportedly removed from YouTube by one of the producers involved.

DDG has accused this producer and their representatives of attempting to extort him for a payment significantly higher than what was initially agreed upon. They allegedly sought $300,000 instead of the purported $30 fee after noticing the rising popularity of “Pink Dreads.” Currently, the music video remains unavailable, with only the audio accessible. Nevertheless, it appears that DDG is not allowing this alleged extortion attempt to deter him, as he has returned with another collaboration with PlaqueBoyMax titled “The Method.” This track, part of the “In The Booth” series released about a month ago, showcases DDG’s exploration of R&B. His fortunes seem to be turning, as the YouTube video has reached 389,000 views, placing it at number 23 on the music trending chart.
