Dave Announces His First Headline Shows In Lagos

British-Nigerian rapper Dave has announced his first headline performances in Lagos, confirming two dates at the Wole Soyinka Center for Culture and Creative Arts on October 16 and 17, 2026.

This announcement, shared through his official X account, marks a notable moment in the career of the acclaimed artist, whose Nigerian heritage has been a significant aspect of his identity and work.

The Lagos concerts will be the concluding events of his The Boy Who Played the Harp Tour, which has covered various regions including Europe, North America, Australia, and Africa, ending in an influential cultural capital on the continent.

Presented by Live Nation and MASSIVE, these anticipated performances are expected to be among the largest international hip-hop events held in Nigeria this year.

The arrival of the shows coincides with Lagos’s ongoing efforts to establish itself as a global entertainment center. Furthermore, the concerts will highlight the renewed importance of the Wole Soyinka Center for Culture and Creative Arts, a historic cultural venue that has become central to Nigeria’s live-event scene.

Dave has emerged as a prominent voice in contemporary British music, achieving critical acclaim and commercial success at a young age. He has made history as the first UK rap artist to debut three consecutive studio albums at No. 1 on the UK Albums Chart while receiving multiple BRIT Awards and an Ivor Novello Award.

For Dave, whose parents are Nigerian, the Lagos dates hold personal significance, representing a homecoming and providing Nigerian fans their first opportunity to see him perform live.

The Lagos concerts follow various major tour stops globally, including festival appearances in Europe, and dates in South Africa, where his performance in Cape Town has already sold out.
