Big Sean’s album Dark Sky Paradise has now reached a decade of existence, marking 10 years since its release. On the first day of the week, specifically February 24, a Detroit-based rapper paid homage to his third studio album, which he described as potentially his most exceptional and arguably the most pivotal in his discography.

I’d like to express my heartfelt gratitude. The rapper is currently in New York filming videos and working on a project, which is the same city he was in 10 years ago when the album was released. Life has never felt more perfectly aligned, as if everything is exactly as it should be. Despite the ups and downs, everything about it is truly amazing.

He stated, “Honestly, this album had a profound effect on me and my family.” I want to have a celebration throughout the entire year. I am deeply grateful for everything I have received from you all. I’m currently turned up. Dark Sky Paradise was Big Sean’s first No. It rightly earned the number one spot on the Billboard 200 chart. The album included the extremely popular “I Don’t F**k With You,” featuring Jhené Aiko on “I Know,” and the emotionally powerful “One Man Can Change The World,” which featured Ye and John Legend.

Big Sean’s Status in Hip Hop Was Solidified with ‘Dark Sky Paradise’.”

The 12-track album Dark Sky Paradise was remarkably consistent and only had a few tracks that could be skipped, a feat that is even more impressive given the vastness of music available during the streaming era. The album kicked off with the melodramatic “Dark Sky (Skyscrapers)” track, followed by “Blessings,” a collaboration with Drake. You later hopped on the remix of the latter track, which deservedly should have been incorporated into the final edit.

Additionally, the project includes “All Your Fault,” the “Piece of My Love”-sampling “Play No Games” and “Deserve It,” which features PARTYNEXTDOOR and is found on the deluxe version of the project. At the time, Big Sean was in a relationship with Ariana Grande, and he also received contributions from Lil Wayne, Chris Brown, Ty Dolla Sign, and Ariana Grande. The “Beware” artist came close with I Decided. and Detroit 2, but Dark Sky Paradise stands out as one of his top LPs.

Big Sean has suggested that fans attending an upcoming show can expect to see him perform the entire album, along with additional material. Possible new releases may include a special anniversary vinyl and fresh merchandise.
