Dapper Damm Addresses Royalty Dispute With Former Artists

Music executive Dapper Damm has addressed the ongoing controversy regarding allegations of unpaid royalties and financial disputes involving former artists, including Seyi Vibez and Shallipopi.

The issue has escalated in recent weeks, with the artists publicly questioning the management of their earnings, contracts, and music catalogs during their time with Dapper.

In a series of posts on X, Dapper stated that he had no reason to hide any information and claimed that the relevant documentation had already been submitted to the authorities involved.

“I have nothing to hide. The records exist. The authorities have them. Let the process establish the truth.”

While he did not respond to each individual allegation, the music executive expressed confidence that the existing records would clarify the situation and reveal what occurred between the parties.

Dapper also dismissed claims that his former artists were compelled to end their working relationships with him. He asserted that they left voluntarily and accused them of presenting misleading narratives about their experiences.

“You chose to leave! No one forced you, and we are still fine without you! Move on! Stop acting obsessed!!!!!”

This response followed serious allegations from Shallipopi, who claimed that royalties related to 46 songs were withheld and accused Dapper of forging his signature on a 10-year distribution agreement.

Seyi Vibez has raised a separate financial concern, alleging that revenue from his work was used to sign other artists.

Despite the intensifying back-and-forth, Dapper indicated a preference for resolving the matter through the appropriate channels rather than engaging in public disputes.

“So much to say, but so few ways to say it,”

he remarked, suggesting that his long-standing passion for music influenced his decision to remain composed amid the controversy.

With allegations from both sides now publicly known, attention is likely to focus on the records and any formal process that may ultimately clarify the financial and contractual issues at the center of the dispute.
