Houston’s alternative/R&B sensation d4vd has an important announcement for his fans this weekend. After releasing numerous singles and several EPs over the past four years, he has decided to unveil his debut album. Titled WITHERED, the album is set to be released on April 25 and will feature 14 tracks. This news has been anticipated for several months, but it is now confirmed. The artist, signed to Darkroom/Interscope, expressed his gratitude to his fans in a recent post on Instagram. He also elaborated on the extensive effort that went into the creation of the album.
“This album means so much to me; you cannot imagine the blood, sweat, and tears that went into bringing this project to life over the past two years. I found myself starting over repeatedly until the audio landscape was filled solely with my thoughts, melodies, and emotions.” His authenticity is a significant reason why he has attracted a large following in such a short period, particularly among younger audiences. As a teenager himself, d4vd’s narratives and experiences with love resonate deeply with Generation Z. In the track “One More Dance,” he poetically conveys his desire to share a fleeting moment on the dancefloor before parting ways with a girl. The sentiment is poignant yet beautifully articulated, suggesting that d4vd is poised for considerable success upon the release of WITHERED.
