Clipse, Pusha T, Malice – So Be It

Clipse Pusha T Malice So Be It

Pusha T and Malice noticed the widespread excitement around the early release of “So Be It,” and consequently chose to catch everyone off guard by officially releasing it. It’s been posted just a few minutes ago on the Clipse YouTube channel at the time of writing. The song features both a sleek, monochromatic and a flashy visual style, as Push and Malice deliver their ruthless lyrics.

It appears that this is their method for acknowledging the drama surrounding them, without being overly concerned by it in the long run. Pusha T appears to be addressing Kanye West specifically, particularly in his first and third verses.

For the time being, take online speculation with a grain of salt, as that seems to be the case. It’s not a stretch for fans to think this, given the Virginia MC’s previous beef with his former collaborator on “Ace Trumpets.”

We’ll have to wait and observe as the new Clipse track interacts with listeners over the next few days.

Setting aside the possibility of criticism, the music is enjoyable on its own. Here, Pharrell stays in top form, with a head-bopping beat and a haunting sample to initiate the track. The Clipse stars’ verses are also sharp again, and this is shaping up to be the rap album of the year.
