You can’t have an informed Hip Hop discussion with Clipse without being familiar with these two iconic songs. At the ONE Musicfest on Sunday (Oct. 26), REVOLT spoke with Pusha T and Malice, who mentioned two significant releases every rap enthusiast should be familiar with.

If you weren’t outside when ‘Shook Ones’ was released, you can’t talk to me about Hip Hop. Pusha T said, “You can’t talk to me about nothing.” The Virginia native didn’t specify whether he meant Part I or Part II, but the latter has been freestyled dozens, if not hundreds, of times.

Malice added, “If you weren’t outside when Only Built 4 Cuban Linx dropped, you can’t tell me anything about it,” referring to Raekwon’s debut studio album. View the full clip that follows.

On the second day of the ONE Musicfest, despite the rain, Clipse delivered an excellent show for the audience. The set included “So Be It” and “Ace Trumpets” from Let God Sort Em Out, which was released in July, in addition to older tracks like “Mr. Me Too.” Joining the lineup were Doechii, Ludacris, and several other performers.

This year has marked a significant time for Clipse, who released their first album in almost 16 years. Pharrell served as the executive producer of Let God Sort Em Out, which features contributions from Kendrick Lamar (“Chains & Whips”), John Legend (“The Birds Don’t Sing”), and Tyler, The Creator (“P.O.V”).

The brothers aim to maintain their current momentum as they move into next year, having entered their LP in both the Album of the Year and Best Rap Album categories for the 2026 Grammy Awards. The Grammys undoubtedly represent the pinnacle of musical accomplishment. Malice explained the purpose behind his actions to Billboard. That would be a significant amount for certain.

Pusha T described bringing home the coveted golden gramophone as a “well-deserved full-circle moment” for Clipse. View the remaining Grammy submissions from them.
