Ciara – Ecstasy

Ciara’s latest single, “Ecstasy,” has been causing fainting and Russell Wilson to pass out. The song appears to be a thoughtful present for her NFL superstar spouse, characterised by its intensely sensual language and straightforward nature. “You don’t need to ask me, dad, if I’m feeling lustful / I’ve been trying to conceal how much I desire you / I’m not sure how much longer I can endure this situation / And you’re the one responsible,” she sings in the pre-chorus. The evidence is also apparent in the highly sensual music video. The choreographed routine and suggestive dance moves appear to be a preview by CiCi of what she is prepared to do to her partner when the time is right, and she had to complete the choreography in under two days.

This is Ciara’s first single of 2025, marking her third release in the past eight months, with “Run It Up” featuring BossMan Dlow having been the initial single in August. The song was then followed by “Wassup,” which included a collaboration with notable artist Busta Rhymes, a prominent figure of the late 1990s and early 2000s. Reports suggest that she is currently working on her eighth album, which will be her eighth studio release. She has still not released an album since 2019’s Beauty Marks. In 2023, she released her CiCi EP featuring her popular single with Chris Brown, “How We Roll.” It appears she’s been occupied with her children and additional business pursuits, but one can only hope for another LP update to arrive sooner rather than later.
