Chris Brown Mourns The Death Of Dancer Janina Garraway

Chris Brown is in mourning following Janina Garraway’s passing. On Thursday, 30 October, the “Residuals” singer paid tribute to the actress and dancer who had appeared in his music video for “Say Goodbye”.

Alongside a photo of Garraway from the 2005 single’s visual companion, Brown wrote on his Instagram Stories, “Rest in peace, Janina.” I’m deeply grateful to have had the opportunity to work with you and to have you as part of our family.

My thoughts are with your child and your family. He concluded that you have been and will always be a light to this world. Brown’s mother, Joyce Hawkins, expressed her sorrow in a separate post, saying “Gone too soon.” It shattered my heart to its core. Rest in peace, angel.

Garraway’s family and friends launched a GoFundMe which stated that she was diagnosed with stage four colon cancer when her son was only five weeks old, despite no official cause of death having been confirmed. The fundraiser explained that Janina started chemotherapy promptly and has demonstrated remarkable resilience throughout her experience. She possesses a high level of mental resilience, yet this journey has not been straightforward.

Brown completed his “Breezy Bowl XX Stadium World Tour” on October 16. He began its European part in June and then returned to the United States the month after. Bryson Tiller, Summer Walker and Jhené Aiko appeared alongside him on specific dates, with the tour generating $295.5 million, as per Billboard.

The Grammy Award winner also experienced success during the tour with records such as “Residuals” and “It Depends,” the latter of which received a remix from Usher just this month. Brown hasn’t yet confirmed whether the song will be included in a full-length project or released as a standalone single.

He is anticipated to start his trial next year over an alleged assault that took place at a London nightclub in 2023. Brown denied the charge of grievous bodily harm and was due to appear in court on October 26, 2026.
