Cardi B has become a significant point of discussion in the trial of Stefon Diggs, who faces charges for allegedly assaulting his former chef, with whom he had a sexual relationship.

On May 4, Jamila Adams, the woman accusing Diggs of slapping and choking her during an incident in December 2025, testified that she had a personal and sexual relationship with Diggs prior to being hired as his personal chef in February 2025. She also mentioned Diggs’ relationship with Cardi B, noting it was highly publicized while Diggs was concurrently involved with another female employee. During the first day of the trial, Adams recounted an instance from last November when she was not permitted to join Diggs’ group for a trip to Art Basel in Miami, despite having made plans with Cardi to wear matching outfits.

On the second day of the trial, Adams struggled to address a question regarding a text she sent to Cardi. She asserted that Diggs became angry after she supposedly revealed his infidelities.

Diggs faces charges of felony strangulation and misdemeanor assault and battery, to which he has pleaded not guilty, denying all allegations.

Cardi B and Stefon Diggs publicly acknowledged their relationship in May after months of speculation. Last November, Cardi B gave birth to a son with the professional wide receiver. By February, she seemed to confirm that she and Diggs had separated.
