Brymo Critiques Burna Boy’s Diss Lyrics And Makes Bold Assertion

Nigerian singer Brymo has addressed his ongoing dispute with Burna Boy, expressing disappointment over a lyric aimed at him and raising contentious points regarding international music awards.

In a recent interview with NotJustOk Originals, Brymo stated that he was surprised when Burna Boy referred to him in a song with the line, “Hustle make you no fall off like Brymo.” He noted that he expected more from an artist of Burna Boy’s stature and deemed the lyric as inadequate.

“I was surprised that he is flying so high and he did not realize how mediocre that was. I should be that important,”

Brymo remarked.

He mentioned that he confronted Burna Boy about the lyric, asserting that he had no plans to retaliate through his own music.

“I told him your name no go ever appear for my song.”

The discussion later turned to international music awards, where Brymo downplayed the significance of Burna Boy’s Grammy win, suggesting without evidence that the award had been purchased.

“You won a Grammy and so what? It was bought. Who’s your mate?”

He also made another unverified claim about the music industry, stating that he had been asked to pay for recognition at the BET Awards.

“I’ve been told to pay $10k for a BET Awards before. I don’t care what fraternity you belong to.”

Brymo did not provide any evidence to support either claim during the interview. At the time of publication, neither Burna Boy, the Recording Academy, nor BET had publicly responded to his statements.

The interview has sparked renewed discussions on social media, with fans debating Brymo’s comments regarding Burna Boy, award recognition, and the legitimacy of prominent international music awards.
