Banky W Shares Touching Story About His Relationship With His Wife

Nigerian singer, actor, and politician Banky W recently discussed an interesting aspect of his relationship with his wife, Adesua Etomi, revealing that she was the one who initiated the change in their romantic dynamic.

In a recent interview on the Teju Babyface Show, the couple shared how their relationship transitioned from a close friendship to a committed marriage. Banky W noted that although he had feelings for Adesua early on, the relationship did not develop as he had hoped initially.

He explained that Adesua placed him in the “friend zone” despite his romantic interest, prompting him to withdraw and focus on his faith rather than pressuring her.

“Adesua was actually the one who asked me to be her husband. She kept me in the friend zone for a long time, so I stopped pushing and simply prayed to God to touch her heart. After a year and a few months, she finally called me ‘my husband’, and that’s it,” he said.

This unexpected change, he mentioned, marked a significant turning point in their relationship, moving them from friendship to a deeper connection that ultimately led to marriage.
