Balloranking Expands Agreement With Dapper Music

Nigerian music company Dapper Music & Entertainment has announced the re-signing of street-pop singer Balloranking, extending a partnership that has developed over the past four years.

The renewed agreement was finalized during a signing ceremony at the Dapper Group headquarters in Lagos, marking a new chapter in a working relationship that has progressed alongside Balloranking’s rise in Nigeria’s contemporary Afrobeats and street-pop scene.

According to the company, the new deal includes updated terms that reflect the growth achieved since the partnership began and signals the start of another phase in the artist’s career, with a new project already in development.

Since collaborating with Dapper Music in 2022, Balloranking has established himself as a prominent voice in Nigeria’s street-pop movement, crafting a sound that combines melody, emotional storytelling, and street-inspired themes.

Rather than pursuing short-lived trends, the collaboration between both parties has focused on steady development, allowing the singer to grow organically while preserving the identity that initially connected him with listeners.

Over the years, Balloranking has released multiple projects, collaborations, and performances that solidified his status as an artist capable of merging commercial appeal with introspective songwriting.

Regarding the renewed agreement, the Chief Executive Officer of Dapper Group, Damilola Akinwunmi, described the deal as indicative of years of shared progress and trust.

“Re-signing Balloranking means more to us than just adding a name to the roster; it represents a renewal of trust between an artist and a label that has evolved together. Four years in, we’re not starting over; we’re building on everything we’ve already achieved. The best of this partnership is still to come.”

Balloranking also commented on his decision to remain with the label, referring to Dapper Music as a home that has supported his growth from the start of his journey.

“Dapper Music has been home from day one. We’ve grown together, won together, and there was never any doubt about staying. This isn’t just a new deal. It’s a commitment to continue pushing harder. The streets haven’t seen the best of me yet.”

The announcement occurs during a time when Dapper Group is expanding its influence within Nigeria’s entertainment industry through activities that include artist management, distribution, branding, live entertainment, and media services.

The company reportedly generates over one billion streams annually across its network and accounts for an estimated eight percent of Nigeria’s streaming market.
