Ayra Starr Announces The Release Date For Her Album ‘STARGIRL’

Afrobeats artist Ayra Starr has confirmed that her third studio album, STARRGIRL, will be released on August 14, 2026. This announcement positions it as one of the year’s most awaited Afrobeats projects.

The artist, signed to Mavin Records and Republic Records, shared the release date through a cinematic teaser on her social media platforms, indicating that the countdown had begun with the caption: “starrgirl is comingggg. 11 days! are you ready?”

This news follows a recent update from the singer regarding her health, in which she explained that she underwent a complicated surgery that necessitated a break from public appearances for recovery.

Despite this challenge, Ayra Starr urged her fans, known as the Mobstarrs, to continue their support for the album as she prepared for its release.

The teaser provides an initial look at the visual style of STARRGIRL. In it, Ayra Starr is seen in a blue mini dress, walking through a city street, climbing a fire escape, and looking over the skyline.

The video concludes with stars forming the album title in the night sky, accompanied by a previously unheard song, offering fans a preview of the album’s evolving sound.

STARRGIRL will follow the release of its lead single, “Tornado,” featuring FOLA, which came out in June and introduced listeners to this new creative phase. With the full project just days away, excitement is growing among fans eager to experience Ayra Starr’s next musical phase.

As one of Afrobeats’ rapidly rising stars, Ayra Starr has continually broadened her artistic range with each release. The upcoming album is expected to further highlight her development as both a songwriter and performer, marking her return after her recent health recovery.

With the release date now confirmed, STARRGIRL is likely to be another significant milestone in Ayra Starr’s career as she strengthens her presence within the global Afrobeats movement.
