Awich Butcher Shop ft. Ferg RZA

The music industry, particularly hip-hop, is notoriously harsh. The game will be merciless if you don’t tread carefully. Awich, a Japanese musician who creates hip-hop, is aware of this, which is why she is refining her abilities through her latest track, “Butcher Shop.” She has been producing music for almost twenty years, but this is our first time featuring the obviously skilled artist. Awich relocated to the United States at the age of 19, specifically to Atlanta, Georgia, where she immersed herself in a significant amount of American culture, particularly hip-hop. Subsequently, she moved back to her homeland, but now resides in Tokyo rather than Okinawa. Wu-Tang Clan icon RZA subsequently traveled to Japan, where he established a professional connection with Awich.

Upon learning that she had a fondness for his music type, they began collaborating. Moving forward to the present day, she is now preparing to release a joint album with the renowned New York artist this summer. The release date has not been confirmed, however a new track called “Butcher Shop” which also includes Ferg, is set to heighten anticipation. The song is a gritty, boom-bap hit featuring smooth verses from both Awich and Ferg, who boast about their extensive experience in the music industry. Information can be found below, as well as the fact that she is the first Japanese rapper to have performed at Coachella over the weekend.
