Asake has spoken out for the first time since initial reports surfaced of him reportedly leaving his alleged father in a recent video.
Singer Asake, whose real name is Ahmed Ololade, has been in the spotlight lately due to a widely circulated video showing a man, Fatai Odunsi, who alleges to be his biological father.
The singer behind the song ‘Why Love’ has released his initial statement following the emergence of the video on social media.
In the video, Odunsi claims that he has been fighting a stroke since March 2022, and that Asake has not been in touch with him since then.
The singer Asake’s father stated in a video, “I am his father.” I suffered a stroke in March. The last time I saw him was in 2022, and when I call him, he doesn’t pick up. I’m feeling frustrated and that’s why I’m counting on your assistance, I require your support.
The video has generated a large number of reactions on social media platforms, with numerous individuals expressing concern regarding the allegations.
The singer attempted to prove his innocence by posting a video of himself singing in Yoruba, in which he claimed, “you can’t satisfy the whole world. Ensure that every action is motivated by a devotion to God, and always recall the reality of our mortality. Can’t you see that everything is unfolding as it is, even my father is trying to undermine me, but I remain standing and am perfectly fine, you can’t extinguish my inner strength.
