Another venue for Burna Boy’s ‘No Sign of Weakness’ U.S. tour 2025 has been cancelled shortly after he wished fans a happy Thanksgiving.

Nigerian artist Burna Boy has cancelled the December 1, 2025, stop of his “No Sign of Weakness” U.S. tour at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois, marking the second venue cancellation on this tour.

The concert scheduled at The Armory in Minneapolis for November 28, 2025, was called off earlier this week.

The United Center can accommodate up to 23,500 fans, making it one of the largest arenas in the U.S. for live performances. In contrast, The Armory, which has been repurposed as an events venue in recent years, holds about 8,400 people for concerts and major events.

These recent cancellations have occurred amid backlash following a recent incident during Burna Boy’s U.S. tour. While performing at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, he halted his set after noticing a woman in the front row who appeared to be sleeping. He publicly addressed the woman and her partner, demanding that they leave the venue, and refused to continue performing until they were escorted out.

The woman, who later revealed her identity, stated that she was “mentally, physically, and emotionally drained,” grieving the recent death of her child’s father. She attended the concert seeking relief but succumbed to fatigue. She described the public confrontation and removal as humiliating and traumatizing.

This incident has sparked a significant online debate: some defended Burna Boy, contending that he puts on high-energy shows and expects audience engagement. Others criticized him for publicly shaming a paying attendee, noting that exhaustion, grief, or personal struggles could have led to her falling asleep.

So far, neither Burna Boy’s team nor the concert promoters have provided a detailed public explanation for the cancellations in Minneapolis and Chicago. Speculation is growing that these cancellations may be tied to the controversy or related to ticket sales and public relations issues rather than logistical concerns.

For many fans who purchased tickets, the cancellations represent disappointment, frustration, and uncertainty, compounded by the emotional fallout from the incident involving the sleeping fan, which has left some audience members questioning their support for the tour.
