In late March, Amine revealed details about his third studio album, titled 13 Months of Sunshine. The release date is scheduled for May 16. Two singles have already been released by him, “Arc de Triomphe” and “Familiar.” He is now releasing the third single from his album, which is called “Vacay.” The song “Vacay” is an upbeat tune centered around the experience of taking a holiday. Amine’s vocals glide effortlessly over the rhythm, a sound he is clearly comfortable with. This track is enjoyable, with relatively low levels of tension, and will undoubtedly blend in harmoniously within the entire album.
The song “Vacay” is a hip-house track that was produced by DJ Dahi, a notable producer who has also worked with artists such as Kendrick Lamar, Drake, Big Sean, and Travis Scott, in collaboration with Ely Rise. It has a fitting, relaxed sound, reminiscent of items worn while at the beach or on a cruise ship. Amine raps about traveling with his girlfriend, with her preference being limited to high-end hotels. It appears that overall, he does not seem to be in a hurry to return home. He also makes a subtle allusion to Dua Lipa. The singer has gained notoriety for a relentless touring schedule, with her fans frequently commenting that she seems to be constantly on the move, never staying in one place for too long. Amine also drops a White Lotus reference, which remains relevant. The song “Vacay” is an extremely enjoyable track (an area where Amine consistently excels) and it’s hoped that 13 Months of Sunshine maintains some of its high energy and infectious enthusiasm.
