Album: Tinashe – Popstar

Tinashe is taking on the popstar label with her new album, Popstar. The 16-track project follows a successful period for the singer, whose 2024 single “Nasty” gained significant viral traction and introduced her music to a broader audience. Instead of merely replicating that success, Popstar maintains the experimental style Tinashe has developed throughout her career. The album features previously released tracks such as “Too Easy,” “Melatonin,” “Crash Out,” and “Pillow Fight,” as well as new songs like “Empty Stadium,” “Nobody Wanna Dance Anymore,” and the title track. Tinashe has consistently navigated between R&B, pop, electronic music, and dance, and Popstar presents another opportunity for her to explore these genres. After years of shaping her career on her own terms, the title seems appropriate for her current position.
