Album: Lowbass Djy – The Amazing Bass

Lowbass Djy has released a significant collection titled “The Amazing Bass,” which offers a comprehensive exploration of the Sgidongo sound.

Although one may feel familiar with Sgidongo, there remains much of its essence that is yet to be uncovered. This opportunity for discovery arises when the genre’s pioneers choose to present us with a complete project, which is exactly what Lowbass Djy has accomplished.

You might wonder why Lowbass Djy has not showcased these unique aspects of Sgidongo in his previous works if he has albums before. There are two key points to consider. First, many of his earlier projects are collaborations with Ndibo Ndibs as part of the duo 2Souls. With their collaborative releases, the individual styles of each artist may not be as pronounced. Second, producers often withhold certain creative elements to maintain an element of surprise for their audience.

With “The Amazing Bass,” an 18-track collection, Lowbass Djy introduces us to new styles and sounds of Sgidongo that may have been previously unrecognized. This time, he collaborates with various artists including Ndibo Ndibs, Portia K.M, HouseXcape, DJ Njabsta, MDU aka TRP, ShakaMan YKTV, Kom Da Perc, and Hotfurze, among others.
