Album: Davido – Oriade

Nigerian artist Davido has launched a new phase in his career with the release of his sixth studio album, ORIADÉ, which became available globally on Friday, July 31, 2026, through Columbia Records and Sony Music Entertainment Africa. This 13-track album represents a significant milestone as the artist commemorates 15 years since his entry into the music scene.

The title ORIADÉ is derived from the Yoruba words “Ori” (destiny or head) and “Adé” (crown), translating to “The Crowned Destiny.” The album showcases Davido’s journey, legacy, and artistic development.

Combining his well-known Afrobeats style with modern 3-Step and Afro House influences from South Africa, the project offers a dynamic mix of traditional African melodies and contemporary dance music.

The rollout is led by previously released singles “I Know Who I Be” and “Gimme Dat Ting,” which provide a preview of the album’s vibrant and innovative sound.

ORIADÉ follows the success of Davido’s 2025 album, 5ive, and stands out as his most concise studio work, consisting of 13 tracks.
