Album: Ckay – Banger Boy

Nigerian Afrobeats artist CKay is set to release his third studio album, “BANGER BOY,” on August 7, 2026. This project represents a departure from his characteristic emotional “emo-Afrobeats” style, introducing a more energetic sound that reflects themes of confidence, street culture, and the lively rhythm of Lagos.

“BANGER BOY” was recorded at Boyfriend Music Studios in Lagos and draws inspiration from genuine Nigerian street-dance sounds instead of current trends. The artist’s experiences in various Lagos Mainland communities, including Surulere, Ogba, and Gbagada, have influenced the project, which celebrates movement, nightlife, and the dynamic energy of West African music.

The 12-track album includes collaborations with several notable African artists, such as Mavo, Kidd Carder, Phyno, Maleek Berry, and King Promise, creating a two-part listening experience that balances high-energy tracks with melodic songs.
