It’s been a while since fans have had the chance to listen to a lot of solo music by Ace Hood. Fortunately, though, a change appears to be on the horizon. A South Florida-born artist is preparing to release his new full-length album, S.O.U.L. The album is scheduled for release on July 18 and will delve into subjects such as personal development, coping with adversity, resisting distractions, and additional topics.

Fans still have a few weeks to wait to hear S.O.U.L. in full, but Ace Hood has recently released his new single, “That Mode,” to give them a preview. The high-octane, ISM-produced track was released through Hood Nation Records/Sony Orchard.

On this track, Ace Hood showcases his lyrical skill, refusing to run out of energy while delivering intense lyrics. “He described ‘That Mode’ as a statement track about possessing one’s own power,” according to a press release. “When you’re in alignment with your higher purpose, and you slip into ‘that mode,’ there’s no going back.”

Following the release of the lead single, “That Mode” is next for S.O.U.L. The track was released in February of this year, accompanied by a cinematic music video that set the tone for the forthcoming project. The release was also followed by collaborations with T-Rob, Skales, and others. Ace Hood’s most recent full-length album was B.O.D.Y., released in 2023. The album includes popular tracks such as “Energy,” “Uncomfortable Truth” which features Millyz, and “Feelin’ You,” among others.
