A$AP Rocky Makes Light Of The Idea Of Having More Children, Stating That He Is "About To Catch Up To Nick Cannon"

A$AP Rocky and Rihanna may consider having more children in the future, particularly if he has his preference. In an excerpt from “The Joe Budden Podcast” on January 22, the Harlem rapper humorously mentioned that he is “about to catch up to Nick Cannon,” who currently has 12 children.

“Listen, man, whatever God [gives] me,” the artist said when asked if he was finished having kids. He added, “It’s a blessing. I ain’t gon’ hold you, though, we got our hands full right now. We got [a] whole football team right now. I’m about to catch up to Nick Cannon, you shittin’ me?”

Rocky and Rihanna welcomed their third child, Rocki Irish Mayers, last September. The baby girl joins the couple’s two other children, RZA and Riot.

Those who have followed Rocky’s career are aware that he has previously discussed the possibility of having more children with the “Umbrella” singer. At the global premiere of 2025’s Smurfs, he stated they would “gon’ be like the Wayans family.” He expressed, “I mean, love is beautiful, and it’s just spreading it.”

In November at the 2025 CFDA Fashion Awards, Rocky joked that he intended to celebrate receiving his Style Icon Award by having baby No. 4. Earlier on the red carpet, he spoke with Entertainment Tonight about fatherhood, stating, “Rocki is cuter than ever. You know, she’s my baby twin, so it’s amazing. I’m happy to be a girl dad at this point.”

He also mentioned that while RZA and Riot might “get a little jealous,” there is sufficient love to go around: “It’s probably gon’ take some getting used to.”
