A$AP Rocky is recognized internationally but remains connected to his roots in Harlem. He has partnered with Bilt to assist tenants in his childhood apartment building and to promote his upcoming album.

Bilt, a company that offers a loyalty program for renters, has announced its collaboration with the Harlem rapper for the “Rent Free” campaign. As part of the promotion for Rocky’s anticipated album, Don’t Be Dumb, Bilt has created an exclusive limited-edition vinyl version designed by Rocky that pays tribute to his upbringing. The vinyl features cover art inspired by New York City.

Rocky stated, “This vinyl is my love letter to New York. Being able to give back to the exact place that raised me while helping people across the country with their rent is the kind of partnership that actually matters.”

The partnership also includes Rocky participating as a contestant on a special edition of Bilt’s monthly game show “Rent Free.” Bilt members have the opportunity to win free rent payments of up to $2,500, and the Top 10 participants will receive signed copies of the A$AP Rocky-designed vinyl.

Rocky joined this initiative for personal reasons. He expressed, “For me, it’s always been about your community and neighborhood. Harlem made me who I am, from uptown to downtown, and that connection to place is everything. When Bilt said they wanted to cover rent for everyone in the same building where I grew up, that hit different. That’s not just business, that’s understanding what community really means.”

Bilt will pay the January 2026 rent for all residents of the building where A$AP Rocky lived as a teenager.

If everything goes as planned, Don’t Be Dumb is set to be released on January 16.
