Savage Xtra – Daily Prayers (Remix) ft. Ejima042 & Aguero Banks

Savage Xtra, the head of Alta Confianza Records, has expanded “Daily Prayers” into a complete remix, reintroducing Ejima042 and incorporating Aguero Banks on a D Meek production. The original “Daily Prayers,” which features Ejima042, was part of Savage Xtra’s album Young, Blessed and Dangerous released in June 2024. This album consists of 14 tracks and is created by an artist who refers to himself as “Religious Fela,” reflecting his profound connection to spirituality. Born Uche Barry Nwachukwu in the UK and raised in Oyigbo, Rivers State, he has developed his independent career at the intersection of spirituality and street culture. Thus, it is not surprising that a track like “Daily Prayers” received a remix, as the original resonated enough to justify further exploration.

The return of Ejima042 is a logical choice. The twin brothers from Enugu, whose name means twins in Igbo, provide a native highlife quality that complements Savage Xtra’s Afrobeats style. The new addition, Aguero Banks, enhances the collaboration. His name translates to “prophecy leading to money,” and he has previously collaborated with Phyno on “Still Sober” and JeriQ on “Facie,” indicating his familiarity with spiritually themed street rap. Aguero Banks demonstrated his capabilities in his 2024 album The Hero (Ọnyịkọ), where he showcased his ability to handle an entire project. His verse in this remix aligns well with the themes of perseverance and divine trust that characterize the original.

The collaboration features three artists delivering a cohesive message, all rooted in southeastern culture. D Meek provides a consistent production quality throughout both versions.
