Chrisean Rock Achieves Second-Round Victory in Professional Debut

Chrisean Rock made a successful boxing debut in her hometown, achieving her first professional victory on Saturday night in Baltimore.

Competing as Chrisean “Holy Hands” Malone, Rock won against Ku’Shiyah Williams by technical knockout in the second round at the Hyatt Regency Baltimore Inner Harbor.

According to Forbes, both fighters entered the match without previous professional records, resulting in Rock starting her career at 1-0 while Williams recorded a loss at 0-1.

Rock effectively utilized her jab in the first round before pushing Williams back and landing several right hands along the ropes.

In the second round, Rock intensified her attacks until Williams no longer responded effectively, leading the referee to stop the fight early.

Following her win, Rock acknowledged the Baltimore audience and hinted at future appearances while performing part of her Gospel song, “YAHWEH,” in the ring.

Rock expressed her eagerness for upcoming fights during her post-victory celebration.

The fight marked a significant moment in Rock’s journey, which Naijahomeland had followed prior to the event, detailing her acquisition of a professional boxing license and her decision to transition from celebrity boxing.

Rock shared her excitement about obtaining her professional boxing license earlier, highlighting her lack of a formal record at that time.

She made her commitment to professional boxing clear when discussing her upcoming match in Baltimore, stating that anyone wanting to compete with her must enter the professional arena.

Rock’s athletic journey began long before her boxing debut, as she participated in track events after starting organized training around age 12.

She achieved participation in the Junior Olympics in sprint and relay events, which helped her develop the speed and conditioning necessary for boxing.

Rock entered the boxing scene by signing with promoter Damon Feldman in January, alongside her manager, Kimberly Ross. Her initial crossover fight took place on April 25 against professional wrestler Zenith Zion, where she won by split decision after scoring a knockdown early in the match.

That fight did not count toward her official professional record, making her stoppage on Saturday her first recognized win in paid boxing.

She trained under Baltimore coach Calvin Ford, known for his work with former world champion Gervonta “Tank” Davis.

Before the match, Rock described her preparation as rigorous, emphasizing the importance of faith, consistent practice, and a heightened level of personal discipline.

Rock had yet to announce her next opponent or the date for her second professional fight as of Sunday night.
