The official Asake website has announced the cancellation of the Los Angeles concert as part of his US tour.

Nigerian Afrobeats artist Asake has cancelled his planned concert at The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, California.

This concert was scheduled for Sunday, September 6, 2026, and was part of the ongoing “In God We Trust” tour.

The specific reason for the cancellation has not been provided. However, those who purchased tickets will automatically receive refunds to the cards used for their purchases.

A notification sent to ticket holders confirmed the cancellation and indicated that refunds would be processed within five business days, with an additional two to three days needed for the funds to appear in customers’ accounts.

The notification stated, “Unfortunately, this event has been cancelled. The Asake ‘In God We Trust’ show at The Greek Theatre on Sunday, September 6th, 2026 has been cancelled. You will receive a refund back to your card used for payment within 5 business days. Please allow a further 2-3 days for the refund to credit to your account. No action is required on your part.”

The cancellation has prompted various reactions on social media, with speculation about the reasons behind it.

Some individuals have suggested that low ticket sales led to the cancellation, while others have countered that the show was nearly sold out prior to the announcement.

Asake and his team have not publicly stated that ticket sales were a factor in the cancellation.

The Los Angeles concert was part of a 13-city “In God We Trust” tour, which began in July and was expected to take Asake to multiple major cities in the United States, Canada, and Europe.

The tour schedule includes cities such as London, Paris, Atlanta, Toronto, Houston, and Miami, among others.

Following the cancellation of the Los Angeles concert, fans are looking for further updates from Asake and his team regarding the reasons behind the decision and potential adjustments to the remaining tour dates.
